You will need to attach a resume and a cover letter.Position Summary:The Bureau of Fleet & Facilities is hiring for a Storekeeper/Acquisition Specialist III on the Facilities Services team. The Storekeeper/Acquisition III position prioritizes, reviews, and analyzes workflows related to services and materials management, shipping/receiving, inventory control and customer service. This position oversees the ongoing storeroom layout-associated arrangements to further support building parts acquisition, storage and distribution.The Storekeeper/Acquisition Specialist III performs purchasing within delegated limits and preparatory accounting for a heavy volume of vendor invoice payment processing; oversees the operational activities in their assigned functional area and is responsible for all phases of the procurement process, including: purchasing, receiving, storing, and disbursing stock and nonstock items; maintaining control of Bureau assets through accounting and inventory control principles; as well as utilizing Enterprise Business Systems software and Computerized Maintenance Management System software such as SAP, FacilityForce and/or others. What you'll get to do:
- Maintain inventory counts and levels.
- Place and receive special orders.
- Procure materials, adhering to contract language.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
- Oversee the preparation of requisitions, DPOs, POs and delegated contract amounts; performs audits related to movement of inventory; authorizes issuance of stock after review of orders; inspects damaged or returned material and authorizes disposition; arranges for factory service or repair.
- Perform analysis for decision-making by leadership, including cost and pricing trends; inventory levels and activity; economic reorder points; shelf-life status; shipping and transportation costs; accounts and billing reconciliation; also includes data analysis of various productivity and benchmarking criteria for leadership use.
- Assign duties and tasks as needed.
- Highly collaborative: You can work well across divisions in addition to other city agencies to achieve successful outcomes.
- Detail Orientated: You will have exceptional attention to detail and follow best practices for quality assurance in your work.
- Creative: Ability to locate and procure required materials in emergency situations.
- Analytical: You can analyze and visualize data into actionable conclusions. You are also able to conduct your own research.
The Bureau of Fleet & Facilities manages over 1.5 million square feet of City-owned facility assets valued at approximately $900 million, including the City's highest-profile civic facilities. The organization provides facility operations and maintenance, capital project development and management, space planning and management, and property management and leasing services for City bureaus. Senior RecruiterTo QualifyThe following minimum qualifications are required for this position: * Experience applying laws, commercial and city codes, policies, rules and/or regulations as they relate to purchasing; and developing, negotiating and managing supply contracts.
- Knowledge of building maintenance parts and materials related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety system principles and repair practices.
- Experience with automated inventory control and asset management database control.
- Ability to provide training and direction to staff, including prioritizing, assigning, and reviewing work for quality control.
- Ability to research, prepare, recommend, and enforce policies for acquisitions, operations, and internal controls.
- A valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record at the time of hire.
- While not required upon hire, this position may be required to obtain forklift certification in the future.
