- Manage SQL Server database systems, ensuring high performance, availability, and security in a clustered database environment.
- Deploy, configure, and manage SQL Server and MongoDB databases.
- Monitor database performance and proactively tune and optimize SQL queries, MongoDB operations, and cloud database instances.
- Implement and maintain database backup and disaster recovery solutions in the cloud.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gather and review requirements and create functional specifications.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, schema designs, and system configurations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Performs on-call duties and system implementations and upgrades that may occur after normal business hours and weekends as required to minimize business impact.
- Certifications and/or 3+ years of experience as a DBA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working on 24x7 environments oriented towards a zero-downtime target.
- Experience with MongoDB
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS for SQL Server, MongoDB Atlas).
- Expert level knowledge of ETL process.
- Expert in TSQL, Star Schema and Data Modeling.
- Proficiency with storage and capacity planning.
- Preferably experienced in a high-traffic web environment.
