Railroad Construction Company is seeking a motivated, qualified individual with excellent communication skills to join our Philadelphia Metro Division located in Langhorne, PA as a General Office Administrator. As a member of our team responsible for all Bid & General Office Administration.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:General Office Administration:
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of office supplies & consumables
  • Answer incoming phone calls received on the office lines
  • Prepare items to ship FedEx, UPS, USPS, Certified Mail, etc.
  • Open, date stamp and appropriately handle incoming mail, packages
  • Make local pickup and delivery with a Company vehicle, when directed
  • Process invoices, contracts, insurance certificates, insurance claims, time cards, etc. (training will be provided)
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista software is a plus
Bid Administration:
  • Experience printing drawings, specifications, addendums, etc.
  • Performed the following tasks: scanning quotes, updating logs, maintenance in vendor databases
  • Experience with estimating and the bid process
  • Experience calling subcontractors and vendors
  • Experience with solicitation software such as SmartBid or iSqft is a plus
  • Experience with MWDBE and Good Faith Efforts are a plus
  • Experience with Bluebeam software is a plus
  • Experience with HCSS, HeavyBid software is a plus
Required skills and Qualifications:organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 5 years related experience providing administrative support in the construction industry
  • Proficient knowledge & use of Microsoft Computer software
  • Current Driver’s license
