Overview:The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time and/or substitute basis in the automotive technology management program. This position may be available as remote. Qualifications:EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in automotive technology, vocational education, or related discipline Required
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field. Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Master Automobile Technician. Preferred
  • Licensed Pennsylvania inspection instructor. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Six (6) years' experience in the automotive sector with specific experience in the areas to be taught. Required
  • Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level. Preferred
  • Service management experience for a major automotive manufacturer or automotive dealership. Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
  • Developed organizational skills. Required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
  • Possession of a valid driver's license. Required
Responsibilities: * Instruct and evaluate students in upper level automotive courses (300+ level).
  • Provide instruction in automotive technology management, customer service, personnel and facility management, strategic planning, workforce development, alternative fueled vehicles, and the Senior Project.
  • Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
  • Complete student rosters and return to the School office as required.
Physical Standards and Special Job Features: May require some lifting of parts, etc. Pay Transparency: The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
