- Fields customer questions, resolves complaints, and anticipates customer needs based on a strong understanding of their business.
- Utilizes CRM software to record and track all sales efforts from start to finish.
- Customer Relations: sustains a supportive working relationship with customers and prospects to include monitoring their satisfaction with P1’s performance. Promptly addresses concerns to assure resolution of problems and to maintain long-term positive relationships.
- Project Management:
- Works with vendors to select equipment and materials.
- Procures project materials and equipment.
- Conducts project start-up and turnover meetings with appropriate P1 staff to communicate the project bid documents, estimates, and contract documents.
- Monitors the billing and collection process to ensure timely, accurate payments and collections.
- Proposals: Performs customer site visits to determine needs and develop a scope of work that satisfies the owner’s project requirements. Identifies problems and proposes cost-effective solutions.
- Surveys systems and understands prospect’s needs and problems. Interprets drawings, equipment, and job conditions.
- Determines requirements to provide prospects with solutions to problems.
- Pricing: Estimates cost of proposed solutions and applies company pricing standards to the estimate. Reviews estimates and proposals with supervisor.
- Account Expansion: Understands customer cost to own, operate, and maintain facilities. Translates that understanding into proposals and sales that will enhance the customer while reducing long-term owning and operating costs.
- Develops proposals and quotes. Presents proposal/quote to customer. Closes sales contracts.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years full-time work experience in a role overseeing electrical projects. General contractors or managers overseeing sub-contractors do not meet this requirement.

- Sales experience in a technical industry is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
- Ability to develop and foster mutually beneficial professional relationships, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of mechanical or electrical (as appropriate) systems
- Computer proficiency – specifically, MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
- Strong organizational skills required, as well as ability to handle multiple projects sales campaigns and prioritize.
- Must have good time management skills and ability to meet firm deadlines.
