Position SummaryThe Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with community partners. S/he builds and executes short & long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, enhances business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Serves as the market strategist and partner liaison for any/all strategic partnerships within his/her assigned geography, including health system joint ventures, VBC relationships, and national preferred partnerships.
  • Serves as the primary market account manager to strengthen relationships between hospice, home health, palliative care, and home infusion services.
  • Manages existing partners by maintaining positive relationships with partners at the facility and market/above-facility level and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for coordinating various business lines and ensuring Compassus shows up as one unified partner.
  • Strategizes to advance and maximize value for the partnership.
  • Demonstrates expertise and prioritizes the fulfillment of shared Partnership objectives.
  • Obtains and analyzes data regarding the quality and service performance of our business, and prepares it for review with partners.
  • Responsible for coordination, planning and delivery of all monthly/quarterly formal partner meetings, working with Compassus Operations and Growth leaders within the market.
  • Collaborates with regional marketing efforts to increase the utilization of programs and resources.
  • Gathers “Voice of the Customer” feedback from partners, and coordinates closely with local Clinical and Operations leaders, to ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained, and rebuilt as needed.
  • Participates in the development of the organization's strategic plans to meet the needs of the community and partners they serve.
  • Cultivates and nurtures meaningful and impactful professional relationships.
  • Provides education to hospitals and facilities on the purpose, process, and goal of the partnership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field required.
  • MBA in Healthcare Marketing preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing required.
  • Home health, hospice, health plan, provider, hospital system, pharma, device, or health services organization experience highly preferred.
Skills
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Must be able to travel. Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
