Description:CEC, a subsidiary 501c3, is looking for a full-time Property Maintenance Technician. Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Team Lead, the Property Maintenance Technician will maintain and manage the upkeep of the properties in the southern region.HIGHLIGHTS
  • Perform routine maintenance such as fixing building damage, i.e. window, door, or wall repair.
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Assure properties are kept occupied, safe, clean and in a well-maintained condition.
  • Preparing units for new residents after the previous residents have vacated.
Full-time Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays Requirements:
  • MUST have a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record!
  • MUST provide two letters of recommendation from previous employers.
  • At least 2 years working in a similar role.
  • Physical strength, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and fit into tight spaces.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry.
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
  • Ability to use power and hand tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
  • Time management and attention to detail skills.
  • General computer literacy.
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
  • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
