Our farming-as-a-service model combines proprietary technology, indoor growing expertise, and production facilities, to deliver bespoke value to our customers in the short-term while contributing to climate change solutions for the long term.About the RoleSquare Roots is looking for a part-time (10-12 hours per week) Executive Assistant Intern to support the VP of Square Roots to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently. This business internship would be mostly in person from the VP's home office next to the University of Tampa, making it a convenient part-time job for a UT student.The ideal candidate will be a bright, communications whiz who is committed to careful tracking and follow up. You'll get experience progressing business and research initiatives across diverse technical teams from plant science and biosystems engineering to financial modeling, market research, and AI initiatives. You don't need experience in these areas, but you must bring a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for learning. You should have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties, and supporting a manager. You can expect a dynamic startup environment where we value flexibility, reliability, and personal responsibility. You'll have the opportunity to get insight into different types of projects while contributing to the team by flexing your own skills.What You’ll Do:
  • Drive communications with internal and external stakeholders on varied projects and tasks.
  • Manage professional and personal calendar and scheduling
  • Travel logistics and expense management
  • Plan and orchestrate work sessions to ensure our priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld.
  • Serve as the liaison between the VP and internal/external partners
  • Assist with varied projects by coordinating communications and tracking progress
  • Admin support, e.g. typing up notes, editing AI-generated meeting notes, and maintaining contact database
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials
About You:
  • Currently a student at UT (undergrad or grad)
  • Professional experience in an office or remote business environment
  • Experience performing administrative duties in support of a leader or manager
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Naturally curious and eager to learn
  • Interested in the inner workings of startups
