The Assisted Living Caregiver is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care and support to residents in an assisted living community. This position ensures residents’ safety, dignity, and well-being by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence, and fostering a supportive home-like environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding as needed.Support residents with medication reminders and documentation per community policies and state regulations.Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the Wellness Director or appropriate supervisor.Assist residents with meals, encouraging proper nutrition and hydration.Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.Build positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.Participate in care plan meetings and follow individualized service plans for each resident.Engage residents in meaningful daily activities and encourage socialization to promote overall well-being.Respond promptly and appropriately to resident needs, including emergencies.Adhere to all community policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding resident care and documentation.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, or healthcare preferred.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification preferred but not always required.Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting older adults with dignity and respect.Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.Must pass background check, drug screening, and meet state-specific training requirements.Work Environment:Assisted living community setting.May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting with mobility.Benefits (optional to include):Competitive pay based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Opportunities for growth and advancement.Supportive team environment.
