The value of our products is complemented by a broad scope of manufacturing capabilities.POSITION SUMMARYThe Process Engineer is responsible for managing engineering projects that directly impact the conformance for all manufactured parts at MPI Engineered Technologies.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implementation of error proofing methods, both current and future.
  • Review and manage procedures for error proofing devices to ensure product quality.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities.
  • When required, research best practices and prepare business case for proposal, approval, and then implementation.
  • Collaborate with the quality, engineering, and production teams to identify the root cause for external and internal defects to help build quality into processes.
  • Knowledge of core tools; PFMEA, control plan, SPC, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop systems to drive quality upstream up to the point of manufacture.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Devise sampling procedures, designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, measurement, analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs), Quality Policy, Environmental Management System (EMS) and customer requirements.
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBIITIES:
  • Provide on-the-job training to employees.
  • May function as project leader on quality engineering projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of process engineering experience
  • Automotive industry experiences a must (Tier 1)
  • Stamping experience
  • CNC machining and measurement experience
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
