Our work helps fuel and expose Corteva's scientific innovation.The Core Data Team, on which you will be a Software Engineer II, is in the unique position of being both a full-stack team and owning the data that lies at the heart of all of our ag-related digital products. As such, our customers are both external users and internal teams. This provides us the opportunity to dig into the deep technical details of being foundational to all of our digital products while also learning the breadth of the ag domain.   • Maintain, support, and develop new features for multiple, existing microservices,
  • Create well-structured, extensible code along with unit and integration tests,
  • Take an active part in the code review process by providing thoughtful feedback to colleagues and be open to receiving constructive feedback for continuous improvement,
  • Collaborate with engineers across the organization to develop solutions and solve problems
QualificationsRequirements:What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
  • 5-9 years of software engineering experience,
  • Master's degree or higher in software engineering or a closely related field,
  • Must have working knowledge of python, AWS, Terraform, and at least some experience with JS/TS, and React,
  • You are passionate about becoming a better engineer,
  • You are passionate about helping your teammates become better engineers,
  • You are comfortable communicating with and asking questions of peers on our team and across teams,
  • You must typically be able to work onsite in our Johnston, IA office at three or more days per week.
Preferences:
  • We have full-stack responsibilities with some engineers stronger in FE or BE. The ideal candidate will have experience with, or a passionate desire to work more on, the FE.
  • You are comfortable reviewing and contributing to Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and the associated tooling and processes.
