Job Category: InternsDegree Level: Some CollegeJob Description:The Digital Execution team is seeking a year-round intern to support the design, engineering, and delivery of member- and employee-facing digital experiences across Navy Federal's mobile, online, and Omnichannel platforms. This intern will take a lead role in researching, creating, editing, and publishing internal documentation. They will collaborate closely with leaders of digital developers and cross-functional partners to make policies and procedures clear, scalable, and accessible. Key deliverables include a library of reference materials, playbooks, dashboards, newsletters, multimedia assets, and intranet content that enhance team efficiency, quality assurance, collaboration, and operational clarity.Responsibilities:
Research and prepare reference materials, business processes, and workflows.
Draft, proofread, and edit internal communications including newsletters, playbooks, workflows, intranet sites, and engagement support materials with an eye for design and user interface.
Lead the creation and maintenance of documentation libraries and dashboards.
Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into clear documentation.
Help organize and standardize policies and procedures using established or creating templates and editorial guidelines.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to communication planning and execution.
Maintain consistency in tone, style, and branding across all published materials.
Develop and publish materials using formats and strategies that empower team members to independently update and maintain content over time.
Stay current with internal tools, platforms, and communication best practices.
Qualifications:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for design and user interface
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and basic graphic or video editing tools.
Ability to thrive in a start-up like environment, with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Experience with HTML, content management systems, or dashboard tools.
Demonstrate resourcefulness by proactively pursuing training opportunities and acquiring proficiency in internal systems necessary for publishing content.
Exposure to change management or project coordination.
Familiarity with Navy Federal's culture, values, or digital platforms (a plus but not required).
Desired: Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a related field.
Desired: Interest in digital transformation, digital development, internal communications, and process improvement.
