Summary:The Welder I fabricates metal material by using appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Complies with all safety requirements for working in a hazardous environment.Responsibilities:
  • Performs all job requirements according to procedures as outlined in the VOITH Quality Manual, Company Procedures, and Work Instructions.
  • Reports problems to higher levels of authority as required by the Quality System.
  • Confer with Engineers, production personnel, or others as needed to satisfactorily resolve quality problems.
  • Preforms basic MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Operate overhead crane, tow motor and various hand tools.
  • Required to grind as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and should have mastered basic math skills.
  • Able to work from pre-established guidelines such as routings to perform the functions of the job.
  • Welding &/or fabrication: 1-3 years or enrolled in a welding program.
