Metallurgic (Met) Lab: Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of the copper components. Testing includes tests on tensile strength, cryogenic material, Oxygen Determinator & Carbon. Perform spectrographic analysis of copper. Prepare samples using mounting, grinding, and polishing techniques to interpret and evaluate grain structure and grain size by use of metallographic and video imaging equipment.
