- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of outside sales representatives in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Provide regular coaching, training, and feedback to enhance their productivity and overall performance.
- Sales Optimization: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends, evaluate competitive landscape, and identify new opportunities to expand our customer base.
- Goal setting and Reporting: Set clear sales objectives for the team and track their progress on a regular basis. Prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and potential areas for improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, builders, and other stakeholders in the industry.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs, address concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Sales Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Implement tools and resources that enable the sales team to operate effectively and track progress.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Utilize this knowledge to proactively identify market needs and determine appropriate sales strategies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside sales in the roofing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team of sales professionals and achieving sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing products, services, and industry-specific sales techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to streamline processes and analyze performance.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- This job operates in a professional climate-controlled office environment and may visit customer locations from time to time.
- Travel up to 75 percent of the time may be required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and converse with employees in the English language.
- The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 25 percent of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and machinery, etc.
