You’ll focus on building and sustaining a world-class assembly system by troubleshooting, improving test processes, and ensuring production lines run smoothly to deliver high-quality products for our customers.This position offers opportunities to grow as a lean leader, technical problem solver, and cross-functional partner—with clear visibility into both plant operations and business leadership.Position Process Improvement Engineer, AssemblyLocation USA, LaFayette, GAHow You'll Create PossibilitiesWhat You’ll DoLead structured problem-solving for production areas, including root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.Partner with Quality, Operations, and Lean teams to improve efficiency, yield, scrap, and quality metrics.Support test system reliability by reducing false failures, improving detection methods, and monitoring product conformity.Collaborate with Team Leaders, Kaizen Promotion Officers, and Manufacturing Engineers to implement both short-term fixes and long-term improvements.Serve as a troubleshooting and technical resource for production and test processes, coordinating with maintenance and engineering partners.Drive projects that enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), minimize downtime, and optimize preventative maintenance.Recommend tooling and equipment upgrades while ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance standards.Support new model introductions (NPI) and customer-focused improvements to ensure scalability, efficiency, and outgoing product quality.Lead and share continuous improvement best practices to build a culture of problem-solving and innovation.What You'll Bring to Our TeamRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing) in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to scope issues and implement effective solutions.Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and drive change across cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage both technical teams and business leaders.Demonstrated strength in project management, adaptability, and prioritizing multiple initiatives.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and supporting flexible schedules as needed.Preferred QualificationsExperience in high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments.Knowledge of Lean tools, continuous improvement, and process optimization.Familiarity with test systems, instrumentation technologies, PLCs, or automated equipment.Experience with databases (SQL, AWS, Oracle) or programming languages (C#, Python, Java, C++).Working knowledge of statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) for process analysis.Understanding of regulatory standards (UL, ANSI, ISO, EHS).Our CultureOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
