We have a dual charter to technically support the growth of the division and company: * Create long term differentiated solutions for our core Semiconductor Test business by exploring new technologies and architectures to be applied against current and emerging key requirements for our customers.
  • Working with our Business Development Office, develop differentiated solutions to new business opportunities that are relatively adjacent to our core business. These will generally enable new businesses within our existing customer base.
ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity/Role:The Innovation Lab is looking for a highly-ambitious and energetic Senior Engineering Technician to assist with our world class Engineering Lab. This individual will support current and future enabling technology and growth projects for the Innovation Lab. The candidate should have an inherent curiosity to learn and a desire to provide timely solutions across an evolving engineering development landscape. The Engineering Technician role is a dynamic and exciting opportunity that spans an array of engineering disciplines.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure bench equipment is fully operational, accessible, and appropriately configured for the work to be done. This may involve upgrading equipment, as well as installing/uninstalling test equipment options.
  • Handle equipment rental, orders, repairs, and calibration.
  • Manage test equipment inventory.
  • Ensure that all instrumentation, equipment, and consumables are fully stocked and available when needed, correctly calibrated, and maintained; advising of any conflicts (and propose resolutions).
  • Responsible for care & maintenance of a Class 10,000 cleanroom and associated equipment.
  • Oversee and enforce policies and procedures for lab & cleanroom operations.
  • Work with Engineering personnel on daily activities in the lab and proactively plan for all resource usage.
  • Interface with Facilities for lab reconfiguration for power, water, and HVAC.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge of Class 10,000 cleanrooms
  • Experience assembling mechanical components
  • Proficiency with mechanical hand tools, such as vernier calipers, sockets, wrenches, etc.
  • Prior experience with managing capital equipment is a plus
  • Proficient using Microsoft tools (Excel, MS Word, Outlook)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, specifically one that involves development and test initiatives
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to assist with multiple projects
  • A desire to learn new skills, and possess a curiosity that drives growth and development
  • Meticulous with good attention to detail
  • Experience with equipment such as network analyzers, RF measurement equipment, system imaging.
  • This position involves on-site, in-person lab work, with roughly 20% of the time spent inside the cleanroom
  • Able to lift 50 lbs or more
