GPAC has partnered with a thriving nonprofit pediatric group that is in need of a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join their team.CERTIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in speech/language pathology required.
Current Licensed/Certified Speech-Language Pathologist through the Wyoming Board of Speech-Language Pathology or be eligible to obtain.
A minimum of two years of experience working as an SLP is preferred.
Current CPR certification through AHA.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assesses students' communication skills (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) to identify communication disorders, determine program eligibility, and develop treatment recommendations.
  • Attends meetings (e.g. IEP, IFSP, MDT, etc.) to meet the organizations protocol in support of student learning.
  • Collaborate with a variety of all stakeholders to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, IFSPs, conferences, pre-referral staffing, transition, etc.) to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and/or provide training to guardians, students and staff.
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and/or educational materials (e.g. for the creation of educationally relevant goals and objectives for students with speech therapy needs, etc.) to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs,IFSPs, team meetings, professional development, etc.) to convey and gather information for the creation of educationally relevant goals and objectives for students with speech and language therapy needs.
  • Performs site visits as needed.
  • Prepare a wide variety of written materials (e.g. activity logs, correspondence, memos, treatment plans, reports, required documentation, etc.) to document activities, and education plans, provide a written reference, and/or convey information in support of students and the organization's guidelines.
