The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Justin P. Forkner, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.To Apply: Please apply by September 5, 2025About the Job:The Data Analytics Intern will support an innovative AI-driven project focused on extracting and validating structured data from court documents. Ideal candidates are graduate students in law, legal studies, government, business (with a focus on auditing or operations management), or data analytics, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The intern will assist in reviewing electronic court records, comparing them against AI-derived datasets, and identifying discrepancies to improve data accuracy and model performance. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of legal research, data validation, and emerging technologies, contributing to the development of scalable solutions for automation of court processes.A Day in the Life:
  • Review AI-extracted data from court documents for accuracy
  • Cross-reference structured data with original electronic filings
  • Attend daily stand-up with the project team to discuss progress
  • Organize batches of legal documents for processing
  • Build and maintain metadata repositories for training datasets
  • Create summary reports of validation findings
  • Use Excel or Power BI to analyze discrepancies in extracted data
  • Meet with legal advisors to clarify document interpretation
  • Document edge cases and anomalies for model retraining
  • Draft internal documentation for validation procedures
