We are looking for a team player that can multitask, be non-judgmental & empathetic, and understands the importance of providing the highest level of care to our patients every time.This position supports providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, clinic maintenance, and communication with other medical offices. This job may also include cross training as a Medical Receptionist on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the employer’s business needs.What you'll do:
  • Provide direct and indirect support to Elite Dermatology provider(s) in the delivery of patient care
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients to be seen by Elite Dermatology provider(s)
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed
  • Check the patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading
  • Obtain and document the patient's current medical history, drug history, and chief complaint(s)
  • Assist provider(s) during exams and procedures
  • Assist with prescription refills, electronic health record alerts, and other time sensitive delegated tasks
  • Ensure supplies, exam rooms, and treatment rooms are properly sanitized and stocked
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and voicemails
  • Data entry, filing, and faxing or emailing documents
  • Adhere to infection control standards, OSHA standards, and aseptic techniques
  • Strictly adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide constructive criticism with the mindset of providing solutions for improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Help manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed.
Schedule: Monday - FridayEducation/Credentials:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Medical assistant certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent, continuous experience in a medical assistant role
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification
Experience:
  • 2+ years experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (required)
  • Experience as a receptionist (preferred)
Skills:
  • Service oriented.
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency across multiple computer operating systems and programs
  • Ability to adhere to a compliance program and HIPAA standards and policies
  • Able to receive and apply constructive input for performance improvement and growth
