J.R. Vinagro is looking to add a Land Clearing & Site Services Estimator to support our growing land clearing and site services division. This is a high-impact role that blends estimating expertise with relationship-based sales, supporting our mission to deliver best-in-class service to our clients.The Land Clearing & Site Services Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing proposals, and securing work for land clearing, site preparation, and related service projects. The ideal candidate will have a well-established network within the construction, land clearing, and site services industry, with a proven track record of generating opportunities and delivering results. The ideal candidate will leverage their professional relationships and industry knowledge to identify, pursue, and win new work.Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess scope, access, hazards, and resource requirements.
- Develop clear, detailed proposals and bid packages in alignment with company pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure estimates are feasible and align with field capabilities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with general contractors, developers, municipalities, and private clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Conduct follow-up calls, meetings, and presentations to secure contracts.
- Serve as a point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client expectations are met.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to relay scope, budget, and client requirements to operations teams.
- Provide ongoing support to project managers to address scope changes or client concerns.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and CRM records.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and pricing benchmarks.
- Recommend process improvements and new service opportunities based on market demand.
Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating or sales within construction, land clearing, or site services.
- Strong understanding of site preparation, grading, and vegetation removal processes.
- Proficiency with takeoff software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and survey documents.
- Established network within the land clearing, site services, and/or construction industry, with the ability to generate immediate opportunities.
- Demonstrated history of securing and maintaining client relationships in relevant markets.
