Here, department staff has access to a number of drug information resources, including many online references accessible from department computers. An on-site drug information center provides support for more in-depth questions.
Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeThe Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications. This entry level position learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records.Responsibilities * Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
  • Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
  • Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
