Description:
As part of ELPS's participation in the Early Literacy Grant FC726 grant, ELPS will be adding additional positions to the Elementary Summer Academy. Candidates hired for the position must be education students at Elms College, American International College, or Westfield State University, and must have indicated interest in the Learn and Earn Literacy Corps Summer Reading Program through the institution they attend.
Job Goal: To teach elementary students to learn subject matter and foundational reading skills in a culturally responsive manner that will contribute to their development.Qualifications:
1. The candidate must be an education student at Elms College, American International College, or Westfield State University, and must have indicated interest in the Learn and Earn Literacy Corps Summer Reading Program through the institution they attend.
2. Must attend a Zoom orientation meeting (Date TBD).
3. Must be available to work all days/hours of summer school (Monday-Thursday, July 8-August 8, 9:00-12:00) in addition to a weekly embedded professional development session.
4. Must attend the professional development week (June 24-28; 9:00 AM-3:00 PM) and all sessions of the companion 3-credit course.Please attach your resume to this application.Why You Should Join Our Team:
