Accountant I - 100% Remote

- The accountant will perform transactional accounting for field offices, working in JD Edwards, processing vouchers, entering journal entries, processing commissions, and period closing reconciliations every month.
- Will be involved in payroll, 1099 processing, training of new contractors, maintaining relationships with offices assigned, and office-specific accounting projects.
- This role supports the Client Field Offices across the country.
- Must be able to commit to the role for at least a year.
- Training typically takes 2+months. There may be possibilities for transition to full-time.
- We have a team of accountants that perform day-to-day transactional accounting, AP, commission processing, and period close.
- Must have experience with journal entries(credits/debits) and understand accounting principles
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have a formal accounting education.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize their task while working in a dynamic environment.
- The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately. Outlook: Email and calendaring.
- This role will have frequent communication with the client field offices. Professional communication and proper grammar are required.
