
Engineer III, Occupational Safety

- Support Senior Director and Director of Occupational Safety in all requests, reports, applications, etc. as needed
- Collaborate with global team in enterprise technology for application modernization such as Safety Operating System (SOS), Safe Observation Index (SOI), Occupational Health and Safety Information Management (OHSIM) system, etc.
- Work with Global Data Insight & Analytics (GDIA) team for dashboard development, implementation, enhancements, etc. such as SOS, SOI, etc.
- Knowledgeable in all Global Safety and Ergonomics Tool (GSET) applications and dashboards as a technical resource for global operations
- Proficient in OHSIM application, Plant Level Absence Injury-Illness Data (PLAID), Global Event Reporting Tool (GERT) reporting, Medical Surveillance Scheduling (MSS), Data Analytic Module (DAM) reports, SharePoint, etc.
- Corporate safety point of contact for all safety training including ability to run Oracle training reports, interface with Training and Development teams including plant Training & development Leaders (TDL), development of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) training, etc.
- Support health and safety coaching visits as needed (i.e., UAW-Ford coaching visits)
- Periodic facility visits to support and confirm corporate processes
- Manage the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) SharePoint site including all updates, changes, and development of new, modernized site
- Lead for safety communications such as posting to Blue Oval Now application
- Support / Lead / Collaborate / Distribute / Track in the development of Safety Alerts and corrective actions to ensure timely and effective communication of required actions; work with global regional safety leads in updates / changes as necessary; and provide support in the development / distribution of regional safety alerts including tracking corrective actions
- Experience with the Governance, Risk, Compliance system and control testing process
