Alliance is seeking a National Sales Manager for RSVP Direct Mail Advertising specializing in print advertising. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to promote and sell direct mail and digital advertising solutions on a national scale. The primary goal is to drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.Essential functions· Market Analysis:o Conduct thorough prospect and market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive offerings.o Analyze data and insights to develop targeted sales strategies.· Client Acquisition and Retention:o Actively prospect and acquire new national clients interested in direct mail and digital advertising.o Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.· Product Knowledge:o Stay updated on the latest print and direct mail advertising and media buying trends, technologies, and industry developments.o Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our print advertising solutions and how they align with client needs.· Customized Solutions:o Collaborate with clients to understand their unique advertising goals and challenges.o Develop tailored direct mail and digital advertising solutions to meet client objectives and maximize effectiveness.· Sales Presentations:o Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations in-person and via video calls, that showcase the value proposition of our advertising solutions.o Clearly communicate the benefits of direct mail advertising in the context of the client's marketing strategy.· Sales Targets:o Set ambitious sales targets and work diligently to meet and exceed them.o Track and report on sales performance metrics regularly.· Cross-Functional Collaboration:o Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, production, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns.Competencies· Strong hunter mentality and business acumen with the ability to anticipate client, company and team needs.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.· Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to make informed decisions.· Ability to negotiate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams.· Focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators.· Willingness to explore new ideas and approaches to drive sales growth.· Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations to clients, stakeholders, and at industry events.· Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all interactions, ensuring transparency, honesty, and integrity in sales practices. Supervisory responsibilities· Manage and mentor the national sales account executive, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their professional growth.· Coaches, mentors, and leads others to influence high performance.Travel required· Minimal travel required; 10-20%· Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and team management.Required education and experience· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.· Minimum of 10 years of experience in national media sales within the print, direct mail or advertising industry, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding targets.· Preferred: Deep understanding of print and direct mail advertising, including formats, trends, and industry best practices; knowledge of the broader media landscape and how direct mail advertising fits into the overall marketing mix.· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.· Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. · Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Preferred education and experience· Preferred experience in franchising or multi-brand environment.Value of Joining our Team· We offer flexible health and insurance options including medical, dental and vision, employee, spouse, and child life insurance, short-and long-term disability, Healthcare FSA and Dependent care FSA, critical illness, and accident insurance.
