- Metal Fabrication
- Operate various equipment to fabricate metal parts and assemblies
- Fabricate/assemble/repair test fixtures
- Set-up and run test.
- Follow work procedures and instructions
- After training, run testing with minimal oversight and supervision
- Design testing fixtures as needed; work with operations/engineering to create and release production drawings where it makes sense.
- General shop upkeep
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain the condition of tools and machinery
- Monitor the supply of fasteners, hardware, weld equipment, safety equipment, and other shop supplies and order more when necessary
- Organize test samples and fixtures in the shop

Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. This position can involve sitting for various periods of time, and also requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday;.TravelMinimal local travel.Required Education and Experience * Metal fab – MIG welding and plasma cutting
- Ability to optimize welder settings – current, wire feed rate, etc – to consistently produce high quality welds.
- Forklift operation
- Use of various hand and power tools
- Read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
- Build samples to blueprints/engineering drawings
- Follow procedures under minimal supervision

- General Literacy (email, open and move files, etc)

- Electrical/Hydraulic experience
- Mechanical Engineering experience
- Computer skills
- SolidWorks experience is a plus
- LabVIEW experience is a plus – specifically running data acquisition program
- High school diploma or the equivalent is required
- 4 year Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree preferred
- At least two (2) years of manufacturing and metal fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to be trained on the job
