Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Pay: $20.00-$25.00Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for HSE Safety Lead in Northwest Houston, TX. The HSE Specialist is responsible for ensuring the effective and timely management of medical examinations, training activities, and risk assessments. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safe and compliant workplace by identifying hazards, enforcing regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture.Key Responsibilities:
Workplace Safety & ComplianceConduct routine safety inspections of work areas.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company protocols.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.Monitor safety equipment and systems for proper functioning.Conduct safety audits and assessments to identify risks.Review and update safety policies, manuals, and guidelines.Respond to and investigate employee complaints and safety concerns.Assist in preparing for and supporting regulatory safety inspections.Training & CommunicationConduct safety training sessions and orientations for all employees, including new hires.Coordinate training schedules and maintain compliance records.Communicate safety procedures and updates clearly across all departments.Assist in the development of safety communication materials and awareness campaigns.Organize and lead safety committee meetings and toolbox talks.Train employees on hazardous material handling and PPE use.Incident Prevention & Risk ManagementIdentify workplace hazards and recommend corrective measures.Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide improvement suggestions.Ensure proper ventilation and machine guarding protocols are followed.Monitor fire safety measures and emergency preparedness plans.Participate in risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.Investigate near-miss events and contribute to incident reporting processes.Program Development & ImprovementAssist in developing and implementing safety protocols and emergency response plans.Collaborate with HR and management to ensure training compliance.Analyze safety data, trends, and metrics to support continuous improvement.Coordinate with external safety consultants as needed.Develop and maintain safety incentive and recognition programs.Maintain an updated understanding of local and federal safety regulations.Maintain clear and effective safety signage throughout the facility.Support safety-related R&D initiatives and best practices.Requirements:OSHA 30 Certification (Required)Knowledge of TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) standardsIntermediate or Superior Technician in PRL or related certificationMinimum of 2 years performing HSE duties as outlinedStrong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and risk assessment techniquesExcellent communication, training, and report-writing skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with HR, management, and external agenciesPreferred Skills:Experience conducting safety drills and emergency response exercisesFamiliarity with chemical and hazardous materials handling protocolsProficiency in safety data analysis and reporting toolsBilingual (Spanish/English) preferredPay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
