We are currently looking for a Senior AI Engineer in the United States.This role offers the opportunity to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of AI-driven platforms that directly enhance product capabilities and user experiences. You will work closely with data engineers, software developers, platform teams, and product owners to deliver scalable, production-grade AI systems. The ideal candidate provides technical leadership across multiple, distributed teams, mentoring developers and driving innovation in AI and machine learning. This position is central to advancing the company’s AI strategy, building cutting-edge models, and ensuring the engineering organization scales to meet future business needs.   • Architect, design, and implement AI/ML systems, pipelines, and features to support generative AI, agents, and large language model workflows.
  • Lead development of data collection, preprocessing, model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation pipelines for optimal AI performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, platform, and engineering teams, to deliver impactful AI solutions.
  • Build scalable backend systems and infrastructure to support AI-driven products, ensuring reliability, logging, and monitoring.
  • Mentor and coach engineering and AI teams, promoting adherence to best practices, coding standards, and software architecture principles.
  • Drive critical AI projects, including innovation initiatives, benchmarking, and deployment of advanced AI capabilities.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, influence design decisions, and guide strategic initiatives in AI and software development.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ML/AI engineering within high-growth or high-velocity organizations, or equivalent academic research experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Databricks, Mosaic AI Gateway, or related data and AI engineering technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and scalable ML/AI system architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with language modeling, generative AI, embedding techniques, agents, RAG, SQL agents, and large-scale AI workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software engineering skills, with familiarity in testing, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience designing distributed systems for large-scale data processing (10s–100s of TB).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product, operations, and client delivery teams while mentoring team members.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, AI/ML infrastructure, and agentic systems.
  • Nice to have: Snowflake, FHIR, or healthcare data experience.
