- Foster a positive, professional team environment.
- Respond promptly and respectfully to Bike Shack Intake form requests.
- Facilitate bicycle maintenance and repair for community members.
- Teach bike mechanics and share cycling resources with the Naropa community.
- Document all services according to Bike Shack procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Promote the Bike Shack by creating and distributing educational flyers.
- Set up, monitor, and dismantle the Bike Shack table at community events.
- Assist with budgeting, and track sales, purchases, and donations.
- Utilize Community Cycles membership for training and connect their services to the community.
- Support purchasing for external partners and Naropa departments.
- Collaborate with the Regeneration Specialist to organize bike-related events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Student must be awarded federal work study hours by the Financial Aid office in order to fill this position.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with everyone encountered in the course and scope of the job duties.
- Personable, customer service oriented, and committed to sustainability best practices.
- Has previously attended or is able to attend Basic Bicycle Mechanics at Community Cycles (Naropa partner) on the timeframe set by the Sustainability Director.
- Familiar with and knows bikes, and familiar with bicycle parts/functions and bicycle maintenance tools.
- Problem solving skills, especially mechanical issues.
- Works will in a team, or alone; willing to learn and teach others.
- Comfortable with computer usage and willing to learn new processes/programs.
