Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 10 years of experience in accounting related functions, or 8 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance, focused on GAAP standards for consolidations, VIE assessment, investments, and structured finance.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, including data flow for consolidation, eliminations, and reporting.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience leading transformative projects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with tightly controlled, efficiently designed, and managed business processes.
  • Experience planning, managing, and delivering results at the strategic and operational level in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of key accounting guidelines, and an understanding of US GAAP.
  • Excellent process orientation, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues, own the outcome, and continuously work for excellent processes and deliverables.
  • Excellent business partnering, influencing, and presentation skills, with effective business acumen, and ability to communicate and partner with executive business leaders.

  • Serve as an accounting lead for transactions related to Alphabet and its subsidiaries. Ensure key accounting and report issues for US GAAP, local statutory, and tax are reflected correctly.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including maintaining/enhancing financial statement close processes and SOX controls.
  • Create and deliver high-quality presentations that effectively communicate integration strategy and tie the strategies together into a cohesive story.
  • Make key issues visible to executive leadership, and partner with different levels of leadership for problem solving and decision making on these key issues.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships to support various company-wide initiatives, and apply high-energy and effective communication. Engage and inspire a diverse organization and hold teams accountable for results.
