- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and healthcare industry regulations.
- Manage the preparation and submission of required financial reports to government agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen internal financial controls.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including revenue projections, expense analysis, and capital planning.
- Provide support during external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stay current on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends affecting the healthcare sector.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years experience in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, and reimbursement methodologies. Specific knowledge of healthcare billing practices and procedures.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis, including proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Experience with healthcare regulatory compliance and familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
