Dishwasher Responsibilities:
  • The Dishwasher is responsible for ware washing, running and passing patient trays, and assisting with other kitchen tasks. This position provides support to the Director, Dietitians, and Lead Cook.
Job Requirements:
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Current Food and Beverage Worker's Permit required
  • 1 year experience in institutional dishwashing preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands:The work of this position is subject to both environmental conditions of the inside and outside. The employee may be subject to noise, vibration, exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. The employee is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working in cramped or high places, exposure to high heat, chemicals, or infectious environments. The employee may be subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: contaminants, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation. When required, the employee will wear a respirator and/or other “Personal Protective Equipment”.While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach, climb, balance, bend, stretch, and stoop. The employee will need full range of body motion, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate various tools and manipulate objects. Normal range of hearing and eyesight; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Frequently required to operate tools/machinery that use hand and/or foot controls. May exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
