What You’ll Do in This Role?Provide and coordinate specialized instruction for students with visual impairments in a virtual settingEnsure appropriate learning materials are prepared and accessible for studentsCollaborate and communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, teachers, parents, and service providersSupport compliance with federal, state, and local policies related to students with disabilitiesAssist in evaluations and assessments during initial and reevaluation processesConduct and interpret functional vision and learning assessmentsProvide technical expertise and support to school-based teamsAssist IEP teams in developing appropriate goals, objectives, and programmingDesign, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Promote research-based practices to enhance student learningParticipate in meetings such as PLCs, assistive technology teams, and state-level supportsMentor and orient staff and service providers working with students with visual impairmentsManage referrals, scheduling, and caseloads to maximize efficiency and collaboration
What We’re Looking For?Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligible for certificationStrong understanding of specialized instructional strategies for students with visual impairmentsExperience conducting functional vision and learning assessmentsAbility to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary teamExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with virtual instruction tools and assistive technology preferredYour Expertise Is Essential—And We’re Here to Make Sure It’s Recognized
