Job Title: Application Development TechnicianSummary: In this role you will contribute to our beauty and personal care business growth through formulation development and product technical support to customers and internal organizations. This position reports to the Application Development Engineer.Responsibilities Include:Laboratory work and Formulations developmentCreate novel formulations to showcase the advantages and suitability of MPM products in personal care formulations,Support of customer requests, new product launches, quality complaints and assessment of competitive materialsDevelop or search for the solutions to customers’ technical issues.Maintain and promote a safe laboratory environment in accordance with applicable quality standards.New product introductions and new product concepts workDevelopment of formulations and data for technical literature with supervision.Provide technical support needed to aid the rollout of new products and launch packages.Identify new concepts for product development based on customers unmet needsSupport to Marketing, Sales, and Technology.Work with marketing, sales and technology teams to drive growth for PC business.Participation in the calls and meetings, providing feedbacks on requestsCustomers/Distributors supportAssist in the development of marketing tools and customer trainingsPro-active marketing activitiesHelp with organization and samples preparation.Awareness of current market trendsCompletes other duties as assignedQualifications:The following are required for the roleBachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience in personal care applications, including finished cosmetic products, cosmetic R&D, and/or technical service roles -OR- Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science or a related technical disciplineFamiliarity with the use and application of common raw materials used in the industryAdaptability with an ability to quickly learn new experimental methods and proceduresExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated individual with a high level of creativity, technical curiosity, and strong team spiritWorking knowledge of standard computer applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)The following are preferred for this roleExperience in skincare and hair care formulationDemonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAble to effectively communicate results clearly and precisely and document conclusions and recommendationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
