- Administer the project contract requirements from the point of sale to completion with warranty commencement.
- Maintain open and professional lines of communication with our customers as the central point of contact.
- Chair regular team meetings and document minutes to members and project folders.
- Assist to develop project time lines and milestones. Document status of each project regularly to the customer.
- Evaluate team progress and report weekly to management. Be proactive in outlining potential project risks and define them with triggers for contingency plans.
- Status financial project progress and report monthly to cost accounting. Generate invoice requests to AR.
- Work with internal departments and external customers to track and resolve challenges, errors or complications in any phase of the project in order to bring projects in on schedule and under budget.
- Work with Senior Project Managers to assist with large projects as needed.
- Lead the Request Letter process and define customer requirements to estimating. Be sure that the customer expectations are understood and met. Ensure design approvals from the customer are obtained.
- Coordinate installation plans, site supervision and commissioning.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Lead “Lessons Learned” reviews and document at the completion of the project.
- Mentor Associate Project Managers.

- Information ordering — the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there could become a problem.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Basic – 4-year degree in business, PMP certification or technical discipline & previous work experience in material handling or the automation industry; a minimum of five 5 years of work in material handling automation industry in an engineering/project lead type role.
- Preferred – 4-year undergraduate degree in engineering/PM.
- Preferred – Knowledge of computer scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, etc), MS Excel/Word/Powerpoint and Procore.
