
Engineering Technician (2nd Shift)

- Consult with the test requestor and/or lab manager to determine appropriate testing methods and understand desired outcomes for standard products.
- Set up and conduct performance tests without supervision using established standardized formats and procedures.
- Adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet more complex testing requirements with the help and supervision of others.
- Prepare accurate test data for interpretation and analysis.
- Identify test equipment issues and communicate them to more experienced-level technicians or supervisors.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing.
- Assist with equipment calibration and perform basic test bench maintenance under supervision.
- Keep the lab manager informed of testing activity and challenges on an ongoing basis.
- Perform operational lab duties as apparent or as assigned.

- Mechanical testing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general software literacy
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience in engineering and automotive manufacturing
- Hydraulic assembly and valve experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience as a technician or in a related field is preferred
- Working knowledge of test equipment and test standards
- Demonstrated ability to understand cause and effect relationships within automated control systems
- Fundamental understanding of measurement and control systems and calibration practices
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take direction
- Effective communication skills for various audiences
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness of data
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
