Join a small, high-impact analytics team that drives physician incentive payments and operational visibility. In this role, you'll support the Senior Healthcare Economics Analyst by compiling incentive metrics, maintaining dashboards, and providing backup coverage during monthly and quarterly reporting cycles. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail, and strong Excel skills are key. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create accurate and meaningful reports for departmental and management decision-making using MS Access, MS Excel, healthcare business intelligence tools and other reporting tools as necessary.
  • Compile, validate, and report A&Q metrics used for physician payroll incentives - ensuring on-time, error-free deliverables
  • Build, maintain, and refresh KPI dashboards; gather and reconcile data from multiple sources
  • Perform data quality checks, trace formulas, and troubleshoot variances across linked workbooks
  • Use Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters) to develop repeatable reporting solutions and document processes
  • Partner with operations and finance teams to clarify requirements and translate them into clear, actionable reports
  • Serve as backup to the Senior Healthcare Economics Analyst, supporting monthly/quarterly cycles and ad-hoc analyses
  • Support company-wide initiatives to improve processes and streamline and integrate systems to improve data consistency and integrity.
  • Peer review work of other HCE associates, as requested.
  • Must abide to the Mission Statement of Health Partners Plans in all interactions and activities.

Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills: tracing formulas, rolling workbooks, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleanup/manipulation, and linked workbooks
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent numeracy skills and the ability to reconcile data to source systems
  • Proactive, ownership mindset with a willingness to learn new tools and processes and contribute to continuous improvement without distorting the outcome
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to work onsite and collaborate across teams
  • Preferred:
  • Exposure to healthcare metrics, revenue cycle, or provider operations
  • Experience documenting SOPs or building reproducible reporting workflows
Education
  • Associate degree (2-year) or equivalent work experience in analytics, reporting, finance, or healthcare operations
Work Hours, Travel Requirements
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and as needed to complete projects.
  • Travel to medical offices may be necessary.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
