Job Summary:Team with crew leads, packing manager and department director to execute on activities deemed critical to deliver departmental results and exceed customer expectations during the production of their product.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead responsible floor area Daily Huddle Meetings and daily direction setting based on shift plan and department priorities daily.
  • Create daily shift plan based on guidance from Packing Manager, based on employee capability and expertise. Ensure shift plan aligns with company/department priorities, goals, and objectives to ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Identify training needs and lead/coordinate training opportunities necessary to build sufficient capabilities to support business.
  • Execute/enforce assigned floor area health checks to prevent deviations from standards. Drive actions across Department ensure daily performance goals are met.
  • Coordinate with internal company departments (Account Management, Continuous Improvement, Warehouse), to ensure daily performance and objectives are met.
  • Summarize daily performance on PPLH and Labor utilization through reporting tools for tracking downtime, throughput, reworks, and labor utilization for end of shift.
  • Deliver packing floor fundamentals (Safety, Quality). Ensure lines are always kept in a safe and clean manner.
  • Deliver packing floor productivity & throughput results (units/hour)
  • Provide decision making, coaching and leadership guidance to ensure operational discipline and standards adherence expectations are met throughout shift,
  • Execute discipline and performance improvement forms to employees when necessary.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the designated areas
  • Communicates performance, coaching, and direction to team throughout every shift.
  • Manage the flow of day-to-day operations through decision making and prioritization to ensure throughput goals are met.
  • Prioritize a culture of safety and ensure ongoing communication of safety related priorities, champion process improvements with a focus on elimination of preventable workplace incidents.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Results Oriented.
  • Able to read, write and understand English documents.
  • Bi-lingual is preferred
Education/Experience:
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Environment Preferred.
  • Employee Training Experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Experience working in MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Occasionally/frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
