- Develops test request criteria and accuracy to drive successful testing in a timely and efficient manner.
- Proposes enhancements to processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the test lab.
- Assists in ensuring equipment effectiveness through preventative maintenance.
- Provides troubleshooting and repairs to test equipment as needed.
- Active leadership toward delivering SEAL and 6S goals.
- Provides root cause analysis efforts when packaging does not meet test criteria.
- Guides the team to create innovative solutions to performance challenges.
- Provides guidance in statistical support for proper sample sizing in test plans.
- Delivers test results with clear reporting on performance levels and confidence intervals.
- Ensures test methods are repeatable and reproducible through measurement system analysis.
- Develops improved test methods using continuous measurement methodologies.
- Provide fixture design guidance to ensure automation is efficient and consumer relevant.
- Mentors and advises test technicians.
- Assists with training on testing, test processes, and development of training materials.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Packaging Science, or closely related field
- High level of agility with experience in working across considerable number of projects in a dynamic cross functional environment
- Ability to manage technical resources on projects.
- Aptitude to maintain and troubleshoot test lab operations and equipment.
- Certification or familiarity with ISTA testing procedures.
- Working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, Windchill System, and engineering drawings.
- Strong critical thinking skills including identifying problems, potential problems, and developing solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, planning, and presentation skills
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 25 lbs., and up to 40lbs.
- Packaging development and/or testing experience in consumer-packaged goods.
- Demonstrated or experience with SEAL, OSHA, Safety and 6S.
- Ability to apply Statistical Analysis
- Familiarity with the use of data acquisition and data logging software/equipment
- Experience operating a forklift and scissor lift.
