Location: Hybrid - Chicago, ILOur client, a private equity-backed international services firm with operations across the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. This role is perfect for someone with international financial reporting consolidations experience who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage external international financial statements and audits, ensuring all audit and tax deadlines are met.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of GAAP financial statements to statutory reporting and tax filings.
- Collaborate with international accounting and support staff across different time zones.
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing calculations and manage statutory filings.
- Manage intercompany and entity-related transactions.
- Drive process improvements through automation and full utilization of the company's close automation tool.
- Participate in monthly financial meetings to evaluate financial results.
- Provide essential control functions, including account reconciliations and general ledger analyses.
- Support the annual external consolidated audit process.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment within the department.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting; CPA preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with international statutory accounting is required.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with IFRS is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems knowledge; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate remotely and manage tasks across different time zones.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
