- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, borrowers, and third-party vendors to gather necessary information and resolve any issues that may arise during the processing of loan files.
- Order and review credit reports, appraisals, title reports, and other documents to assess the creditworthiness of applicants and the value of collateral.
- Prepare and submit loan files to underwriting for approval, following up on outstanding conditions and providing additional documentation as required.
- Coordinate with closing agents, escrow officers, and attorneys to facilitate timely and smooth closings.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations governing mortgage lending practices.
