Project Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Windows Engineer / Packager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation, scripting, packaging, and deployment of Windows 10/11 systems in a distributed enterprise environment. This role requires advanced technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in systems administration, SCCM/MECM configuration, and enterprise application packaging.Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement automated scripts and processes for software deployment, patching, and data gathering.
- Perform remote deployments and integrations of Windows 10/11 systems across distributed environments.
- Maintain Windows infrastructure with the latest updates, configurations, and security patches.
- Research, design, and recommend technical solutions to meet business and operational requirements.
- Provide Tier III support, diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to Windows systems and deployments.
- Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
- Work with SCCM/MECM to package, deploy, and manage enterprise applications.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Apply knowledge of networking concepts, secure protocols, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- (Optional/Preferred) Work with Tanium for system management and endpoint security.
- 8–12 years of relevant IT experience in systems engineering, administration, or application packaging.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
- Strong expertise in Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell 5 and batch scripting.
- Hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM (Configuration Manager) for enterprise deployment and packaging.
- Experience in remote system integration and distributed enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and secure protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop thorough documentation and procedures.
- (Desirable) Familiarity with Tanium endpoint management.
