SummaryBright Oak substitute teachers will be responsible for the care of young children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. They are expected to help maintain a safe classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. In order to meet the needs of our students, teachers must be highly skilled in communicating with both children and adults alike.Duties
  • Follow and adhere to Bright Oak Preschool Academy's policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to DSS guidelines which includes tracking students' transitions amongst other duties.
  • Ensure a safe environment and see to the safety of the children during any emergent situation that may arise.
  • Properly maintain a healthy, clean, and orderly classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening prior to start date
  • Must be able to lift children up to 50 pounds 3 feet onto changing tables safely
  • Must be able to see and hear sufficiently to monitor and maintain control over classrooms of children aged 6 weeks through 5 years old
About UsBright Oak Preschool Academy is an upcoming preschool being built off of Maybank Highway on John's Island, SC. We are a privately held, locally owned school that will serve students from infants (6wks) to Pre-K (5yrs). Our school will embrace a child-centered, project-based curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and a work environment that fosters collaboration, inclusivity, creativity, and safety.
