- Acting as the initial point of contact to provide technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving end-user issues
- Performing system and office deployments to include computers and peripheral devices
- Conducting new user onboarding including account creation and user orientation
- Supporting, managing, and maintaining the configuration and installation of end user workstations
- Maintaining asset and consumable inventories
- Maintaining computer and server labs, to include installation and capacity management
- Performing system administrative maintenance tasks, such as security remediation and patching
- Performing and support OS and service migration from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 and 9
- Assisting in creating and updating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
- Writing and implementing automation playbooks for OS, software, and service configurations
- Writing and communicating reports, change requests, deployment proposals, and solutions.
- Approximately 20%
- Security+ (DOD 8570 Compliance) on arrival or within first 60 days
- Ability to get and maintain a TS Security Clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- 2+ years of hands on experience working with Linux and Windows – preferably servers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels
- Working knowledge of server and PC hardware
- Experience with software and installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair
- Ability to manipulate files, groups, and users within Windows and Linux environments
- User management within Microsoft Active Directory
- Networking fundamentals, such as VLANs, Routing, and network segmentation
- Ability to read logs and troubleshoot interconnected systems.
- Certification (Security+, Microsoft, Red Hat)
- Active TS/SCI security Clearance
