- Oversee the recruitment and staffing processes, including job postings, application tracking, dispositioning of candidates, and supporting hiring managers and search committees.
- Prepare and route job descriptions, offer letters, background checks, and pre-employment paperwork.
- Coordinate initial and ongoing credentialing for faculty, ensuring licenses, certifications, and training stay current for UCH and CU Medicine, and maintain databases for both affiliates.
- Ensure a successful onboarding experience by preparing materials, guiding new employees through account setup, system access, payroll, benefits, and facilitating onboarding for volunteers, trainees, and minors.
- Serve as the division’s payroll liaison, process payroll transactions, track time and leave, update funding distributions, and review reports to ensure accurate pay.
- Manage documentation for various leave types including FML, FAMLI, and STD.
- Coordinate with the Office of International Affairs to assist with visa processes and Employment Authorization Documents for new and existing international faculty and staff.
- Manage the separation process for resignations, retirements, and terminations, ensuring compliance with HR and department requirements during offboarding.
- Collaborate with Central HR, SOM, Risk Management, and departmental leadership to maintain alignment with University processes while ensuring adherence to HR policies, equitable hiring practices, and accurate documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.

- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of human resources experience, specifically in recruitment, payroll, or as an HR generalist.

- Three (3) years of human resources experience specifically in recruitment, payroll, or as an HR generalist.
- Experience working in a higher education or medical environment, such as an academic medical center or clinical setting.
- Experience with Taleo (CU Careers) and PeopleSoft (HCM).
- Experience with Smartsheet and DocuSign.
- Experience working with HCM and CU Systems.
- Experience with University policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
- Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices.
