- Provides high-level input in the development lean manufacturing cells across site.
- Mastery is expected but not limited to JIT, takt, flow, pull, standard work sheet, jidoka, DMAIC, A3, strategy deployment, TPM, continuous flow, mistake proofing, eliminating waste, 5 why's, heijunka, kanban, kaizen, pacemaker, pitch, replenishment system, SWIP, supermarket, standardized work, standard work combo sheet, value stream mapping, visual management, time observations.
- Design mixed model cells using SWCS, % load and cell standard work.
- Lead cross functional teams to develop and improve business processes across the organization.
- Effectively coach teams to manage for daily performance using visual controls.
- Mentor using Gemba walks and lead standard work.
- Coach employees to see abnormal conditions and problem solve systematically.
- Lead kaizen events to address critical business issues and improve production systems by waste elimination.
- Travel Requirements - Up to 30%.
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field and a minimum of 8 years of experience to include at least 5 years of Lean leadership.
- Or, a Master's Degree in business or technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience to include 3 years of Lean leadership.
- Or, a high school diploma or GED and 10 years of relevant experience to include 5 years of Lean leadership.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 11+ years of experience including 8+ years of Lean leadership.
- Or, Master's Degree and 8+ years with 5+ years of Lean leadership.
- Lean master, lean practitioner, or Master Black Belt Certification.
- Automotive or electronics industry manufacturing experience.
- Toyota Production System (TPS) familiarity.
- Computer skills: high-level of spreadsheet utilization skills; exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft office suite such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook; ability to utilize and create reports using Power BI; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as Oracle.
