  • Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and develop a large multi disciplinary estimate
  • Determine labor and equipment costs
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
  • Understand project logistics and project schedule
  • Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
  • Review quotes and estimates with the project team
  • Prepare estimates and different levels of completion ( conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
  • Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers
  • Serve as company interface between owner & architect
  • Responsible for developing leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subs and project team
Qualifications of Manager of Preconstruction:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture or Engineering, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience bidding on large multi-million dollar projects exceeding $25Million dollars
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software: Microsoft Office Suite, estimating & take-off software (CostX or similar), BIM tools (Revit, Assemble, etc.), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar)
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Advanced Computer skills with MS Office
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
  • Understand all aspects of horizontal and infrastructure projects
