Position SummaryO'Neill SCHOOL OF PUBLIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRSINDIANA UNIVERSITY-BLOOMINGTON CAMPUSFull-Time Tenure Track Position in Public EconomicsThe O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (O'Neill) at Indiana University-Bloomington invites applications for a tenure track academic appointment in the general field of public economics at the Assistant Professor rank. Preferred start date is August 1, 2026. Candidates must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in economics, public policy or related field. Applicants are expected to develop a nationally recognized program of research, seek external funding, advise doctoral students, mentor masters and undergraduate students, and teach courses related to public finance (e.g. public budgeting, taxation, cost-benefit analysis, public financial management) at graduate and undergraduate levels to students that come from many different backgrounds. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in contributing to O'Neill's research programs, curricular offerings and service portfolio.To ensure consideration, application materials must be received by October 15, 2025.
