Job Title: Local Contract - MRI TechNumber of positions: 1Years of experience: One to three yearsShift: Day shifts- 40 hoursDuration: 13 weeksStart Date: 04/28/2024Hourly pay: $54.28OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $2,035.50JOB DESCRIPTION​​​​​SummaryDepartment: Magnetic Resonance ImagingShift timings: 13:30 - 22:30- Monday to Friday (4 Days/9 Hours)Per Week: 36 HoursSecond Shift: Monday-Friday, Call will be required. And help with holiday call. Call for this shift will include weekend coverage.​Roles & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.​
QUALIFICATIONS
  • ​​​​BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • ​Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current MRI Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/MRI Tech program
  • Active unencumbered MRI Tech Oklahoma license
  • One year of Epic experience
